WHAT IS SAFETY 2000®?

The Safety 2000® program is a unique, all-inclusive training package with a proven track record of quality and economics. It saves up to 50% of your training time and work hour charges by eliminating duplication and additional travel.

This completely modular program is tailored to corporate and site-specific needs. Our progressive hands-on training methods guarantee increased retention, motivation and a superior safety attitude. As regulations, standards and corporate policies change, Global Training Centre’s capability to implement immediate revisions ensures our training reflects the most current technology, generally considered above OH&S regulations and standards. The extensive experience and specialized skills of our team allows us to customize this program at the highest level of quality to satisfy your requirements.

WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR SAFETY 2000®?

The Global or Open Safety 2000® program was initiated by industry to address regulatory training by companies that wish to co-train with other companies for learning enrichment, and a higher quality of training and product.
The Corporate-Specific Safety 2000® program addresses the needs of companies that require the addition of company and site-specific information to enhance personnel development, as well as increasing due diligence demands.

The Safety 2000® program runs year-round on pre-scheduled weeks, beginning on Mondays at 7:00 am.

GAS TESTING

This half-day program covers all the components of gas testing, including hand-held detectors, single toxic gas monitors, multi gas monitors, continuous gas monitors and LEL monitors. Course Description.

H2S ALIVE®

Learn how to work safely in and around hydrogen sulfide (H2S) environments with H2S Alive® training. This course provides the skills and knowledge to identify, detect, and respond to H2S hazards. Get certified for workplace safety. Learn More!

H2S AND OTHER TOXIC ATMOSPHERES

This half-day program teaches participants basic awareness of hazards created by a toxic atmosphere - H2S is a common hazard. Physical properties, toxicity  levels,  initial  response  scales and (actual incident) case studies are covered with each participant team analyzing their own case. Click here for the Course Description.

HYDRATE AWARENESS

This half-day program explains what a hydrate is and how hydrate formation occurs.  Emphasis is placed on the prevention and detection of hydrates.  Learn More!

FIRST AID FIREFIGHTER

This half-day program is designed to meet the needs of a Fire Warden Program, or for personnel in need of very basic training on 30 lb. dry chemical fire extinguisher operations. The program includes classroom theory as well as practical training on Global’s Fire Field. Learning Objectives.

MENTALLY ACTIVE DRIVING PROGRAM

This half-day program provides participants with the most up-to-date information available on automotive safety. Each participant receives in-vehicle training that includes an evaluation to pinpoint their weak areas and coaching for improvement. Course Outline.

OH&S OVERVIEW

This half-day program introduces the OH&S outline and participants are given a copy of the OH&S Act, Regulations and Code to use. Learning Objectives.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

This half-day program gives participants basic knowledge in the use, care and maintenance of different types of respiratory protection, with emphasis on self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Learning Objectives.

STANDARD / INTERMEDIATE FIRST AID CPR
